London had four twin turrets this ship has four triples, and is a Fiji class ( AKA Crown Colony) the censor has been at this image as it shows her with the cruiser DCT - Director Control Tower - but the gunnery radar, probably a type 284,which should be mounted on it's roof is missing so are a few other odds and ends making dating the shot a bit harder.
I feel this is Mauritius pre 1943 but am no way certain

That helps a lot Steve as I do know that he was on the Mauritius at the early part of the WW2.

I'll give you a wave next time you pass Landguard Point.
