Certainly looks like the Settler, I did three consecutive trips in her
1958-1959.
She disappeared from Harrison Line in 1959.
Perhaps somebody can tell me what happened to her?
(Why did I say perhaps?) it's a dead cert. that somebody
will tell me.

Cheers,

Pat Baker.

Bob,
many thanks for your reply.
I knew that somebody would have the info.
I asked for.
I left the Settler in Poplar June 1959, so she must have
only made one more voyage after that before she was
scrapped.
A happy ship with some very good shipmates,
one of which, Les Evans the Chief Steward, remained
a friend for many years.
Cheers Bob,
Pat Baker.

Pat,
Thank you,your welcome.
If you're interested in Harrison's history I recommend a book jointly published by Ships in Focus/World Ship Society about this company.Full of history, anecdotes and photos of all their ships.Costs about £35 but worth every penny.
Kindest regards,
Bob

Bob,

If that is the book by Cubbin I have read it.
Even sailed with the author of it at one time.
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers.
Pat Baker.
