6.16.1940 sunk by 2 torpedoes from the Italian submarine Galileo Galilei just outside of Aden loaded with 10.800t of aviation fuel. No casualties as the crew could leave the ship before it exploded.

Built in 1931 by Caledon Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd Dundee Scotland United Kingdom/Completed by Gøtaverken AB Gothenburg Sweden as " BRALANTA " for Braathens Rederi A/S ( Ludvig G.Braathen A/S Oslo as manager ) Oslo Norway.

Tonnage : grt / nrt / tdw - 8.215 / 4.868 / 11.420.
Main Engine : Gøtaverken B&W Type M (4T) 7 Cyl (550x1000) - 2 x 1.488 bhp.

1933 New manager : Lorentzens Rederi A/S Oslo Norway.
1935 Sold/Transferred to Lorentzens Skip-A/S ( Same manager ) Oslo Norway,renamed " JAMES STOVE ".

1940/16.06 Torpedoed and sunk by the Italian submarin " Galileo Galilei " on pos : 12.35N/45.03E (off Aden Jemen) wilst on voyage Singapore to Aden With 10.800 ton aviation petrol.The vessel was stopped and the crew ordred to abandone the vessel.They were after 1 hour taken up by HMS " Moonstone " and landed in Aden.
