Shaw, Savill & Albion Line's 1965 Vickers, Tyneside, built LAURENTIC is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly 50 years ago, on 12th August 1970.

She had sailed from Auckland on 18th June and Bluff on 27th June bound for Southampton, Avonmouth and Cardiff.
