hope not to burst your bubble but the base kit for this boat is the "Helen" kit from "Latina" still available, I have the same kit and have modified it to a local boat from "Falmouth" in the late 1960s. Kit came with a very good glass fiber hull, but it needed a lot ballast to float the correct drafts.
I think You'll find Jon Vincent that rather than burst Cam's or any one's bubble you've only burst your own.........Cam has already stated that he got a hull and built the rest from scratch.............there are many companies producing hulls such as the one cam bought.
I have seen Cams work before and all built from scratch....there are many ringers and sein netters similar to "Hellen" built these days..........and not all built from Artesania's or deans marine kits.
And for what it's worth.........there is also a great deal of skill needed in getting a result such as that from a kit anyway had it been a kit.............so there is also no shame in building from kit either............even with my experience I like building from kits from time to time.
But I certainly don't try to decry another builder by telling the whole world that it isn't what I think it may be????
