Like kgvm a bit curious about the "back lengthened", whilst in Service the Bow was lengthened as the original Flower Class spec was for escorting Coastal Convoys. When they went into the Atlantic the 'as built length' made them a very wet boat which meant they kept burying their head and made manning the Deck Gun difficult along with Crew discomfort. All to do with Wave Pitch 'v' Length a factor taken into account when designing Merchant Vessels for a specific trading area and one of the first questions the Owner needed to answer.
