Victoria Drummond was born 14th Oct.1894. She was a god-daughter of Queen Victoria. She began her career with a 5 year apprenticeship at the Caledon shipyard before going to sea as a marine engineer in 1922. Her first ship was the Blue Funnel,ANCHISES. She was at sea for 40 years and during that time she was an engineer in the BRITISH MONARCH at the time of the loss of the apprentice in New Zealand, of whom there has recently been some mention of on SN..
Miss Drummond died on Christmas Day, 1978, aged, 84.
