MONROVIA, a standard Y type built by Lithgows at Port Glasgow in 1943, was photographed near Amsterdam by the late G.Bunschoten.

MONROVIA suffered a collision with ROYALTON and sank 11nm off Thunder Bay, Lake Huron, on 25.6.59 during a voyage from Antwerp to Duluth with a cargo of structural steel
