One and All, Melbourne 1988

One and All is approaching Melbourne as part of the First Fleeters that came to Australia as part of the BiCentenary celebrations in 1988. From memory I think the First Fleet came after the Tall Ships and were much smaller in size. Anna Kristina is in the background with the brown sails.

1988 was certainly a year of sail that has not since been repeated in Melbourne. I was working as a volunteer engineroom greaser on the ST Wattle at the time - it provided a wonderful opportunity for photographs. I have more negs than prints and sifting through the negs is a daunting task. One day I will do it and post the best of them on SN. Cheers, Jeff. PS I think the ship second on the right from Anna Christina is the Bounty.
