SS President Garfield shown in the markings of Dollar Line, the predecessor of American President Lines (now known as APL Ltd.). Completed in 1921, during 1942 she became a troop transport (USS Kenmore AP-62) and, in 1944, a hospital Ship (USS Refuge AH-11). She was decommissioned in 1946 and scrapped in 1948.
