Certainly the Grim'sche Leitrad vane wheels fitted on QE2. They had proven to offer significant fuel savings when applied to single-screw cargo and container ships but when tried on the QE2 they disintegrated when she went up to full trial speed.
However, they were certainly NOT the world's largest propellers
A little research reveals some consensus around the Maersk triple-E class as having the largest props of all ships, but research on props on passenger ships yields several on passenger ships that are larger in diameter and more massive by weight than those on QE2, so the original poster's info is simply incorrect.
