Great shot of a fine old Lady Les. she looks real class. A lot of History tied up there. Loks like she has just come out of dry dock new paintwork. A lovely photo. thanks for posting.

Impressive. I saw Queen Elizabeth and Mauritania tied up along side of each other in the same berth in the early sixties

By any chance taken in the infamous year of 1966 during the Seamens' strike? I have similar shots which I took at the time. QE was up in the KG5 Drydock.

As a small boy this is how I first saw the Queens viewed from the Hythe ferry. I was hooked on passenger ships from that moment!
