Hi Boseley, my congratulations for you're a very clever man. Few people knows where Hierro, the smallest of the seven Canary Islands, is placed on a map.

During her life at sea, Canberra was a frequent visitor, with no less than 150 calls, at Lanzarote, Grand Canary and Tenerife, both on regular and cruise voyages.

Nice ship indeed and one of my favourites. Regards Trenor

Many thanks for posting this great shot... I still miss her very much. I was very pleased that she went to scrap rather than tarting around under another flag as a tourist flotel!

Thanks to all for the kind comments, I have different memories of the Canberra, I never worked as hard, I wore out 2 pairs of shoes outward bound. I would still do it all again though!!
