Eastgerman tug RECKNITZ was built by VEB SHIPYARD ROSSLAU in 1953 for the salvage and diving company VEB SCHIFFSBERGUNG UND TAUCHEREI STRALSUND.
1/1/1964 the tug was overtaken to the pilot and salvage company VEB LOTSEN- UND BERGUNGSDIENST WARNEMÜNDE.
1/1/1970 RECKNITZ was overtaken to the dredging towage and salvage company VEB BAGGER-, BUGSIER- UND BERGUNGSDIENST ROSTOCK (BBB).
About 1980 the tug was purchased by VEB DEUTFRACHT / SEEREEDEREI ROSTOCK for supplying her vessels on the roads of Warnemünde.
About 1989 RECKNITZ was overtaken to the Museum for Inland Trading at Oderberg, Eastgermany but never was reached there.
1989 to 1992 the tug was laid up at Hohensaaten, Eastgermany.
1992 RECKNITZ was towed to Sczcecin, Poland.
About 1993 the tug was towed to the shipyard NEPTUNWERFT at Rostock, Germany.
