I am struggling with a name for this Destroyer.

Presumably getting ready to RAS? Big party of "Arms and Legs" amidships and she doesn't seem to be 'flat chat' as Destroyers always seem to be when at sea. Whats does the code flag "R" mean in naval language? In my days it meant "The way is off my ship you may feel your way past me" ... I see in todays ICS it has no designated single flag meaning....no good if you have a female alongside!!!

Flag 'Romeo' indicates RAS operations, if I remember, 'at the dip' when on approach and 'close up' when ready to receive the gun line etc.

Almost guardlogger. Romeo at the dip on the supplying ship 'preparing to receive you alongside'. At the dip on the receiving/approaching ship 'preparing to go alongside'. Close up on the supplying ship 'ready to receive you'. Close up on the receiving ship 'have commenced my approach'.
