Agree with all that has been said about her demise.
But what just struck me was, to try and imagine something of this massive size sitting high ond dry on the sand. Hard to comprehend!

in about 20 years time it will boom town beaches when the first massive cruiseships of the 90s go to their grave

No doubt about it she was a real ship even after the alterations which spoiled her, she was beautiful in her time under the French flag when in service.
