A fine old workhorse. Came across her during family history research. Albert Edward Cowling, age 60, Fireman, a cousin of my G Grandfather, was one of the 9 lost when she was mined. He should have been at home with his pipe and slippers.
Remembered with honour.

My father in law was either on this ship or the SS Lifland from St. Malo arriving in Falmouth on 18th June 1940 as part of Operation Aeriel. I cannot find which ship it was although the Lifland was much larger.
