Thats her dw main she was built as the 'Wanderer' II BA76 at Nobles of Girvan in 1975.. In 1983 she was renamed the 'Freedon IV' LH371.. In 1983 Ralph Pottinger and partners took her to Shetland and named her the 'Sunrise' LK76..Then in 1987 she was sold again and became the 'Astra' INS116..And was decommisioned in 2002

I met Fife in Inverness last year,he told me he was at the lobsters and was catchin neathing and had a huge fall out with the fishery officers.Even in retirement nuthin changes then!!

that's fife for you. iv never met a man to alter gear as much as him. i suppose the creels get altered daily as well.he always pleaded poverty at sea. but always landed plenty. must of caught them in his last day afore landing.

Fine man all the same,just another one of the older generation that couldnt take the boredome of the trawl and the bull**** of the politics.
