Two, 6-cyl. 4 S.C.S.A. (270 x 305mm) Ruston 6RK270M type by Ruston Diesels Ltd., Newton-le-Willows, geared to twin forward mounted Voith-Schneider type multi-directional propulsion units. 3,860bhp. 12.6 kts. Stern drive thruster. 43 tons bollard pull.
5.12.1989: Keel laid by McTay Marine Ltd., Bromborough (Yard No. 89) for the Alexandra Towing Company (London) Ltd.
25.5.1990: Launched as SUN MERCIA. 3
0.7.1990: Completed.
7.8.1990: Registered at London.
1995: Transferred to Alexandra Towing Company Ltd.
1.1.1996: Owners restyled as Howard Smith Towage Ltd.
8.10.2001: Owners restyled as Adsteam Towage Ltd.
2005: Renamed ADSTEAM MERCIA.
30.4.2007: Owners restyled as Svitzer Towage Ltd, Felixstowe (Svitzer Marine Ltd., Middlesbrough, managers).
6.2008: Renamed SVITZER MERCIA.
2.2016: To Svitzer Eastlands Ltd (same managers)
5.2020: Still on SeaWeb as in service.
