Andrew Weir's 1967 Wm.Doxford, Sunderland, built TEVIOTBANK is seen passing Portishead outbound from Avonmouth fifty years ago today, on 27th February 1969, after a voyage from Lagos via Dakar.

Later:1979:TEVIOTBAN

1984: Abandoned in Iranian waters, used for target practice

1993: scuttled

Teviotbank was the last 'midships' cargo ship built for Bank Line and along with her sister Shirrabank they were the last of the so called '15,000 tonners', a large series that was split between Doxford and Harlands.

Doxford yard number 877. Launch 28.12.1967 Doxford 670J6 engine. Sold to Alexander Properties, Isle of Man R/N Teviotban. Reported engine damage and scuttled of Iran 1993
