The Dock

The Dock

This pub, just outside the dock gates at the western end of Corporation Rd, Birkenhead and adjacent to the Blue Funnel loading berth at Cathcart St, has been closed for about five years.
It was a favoured pub for that last pint before sailing There are rumours of it re-opening, but dont hold your breath.

I happened to drive past this pub tonight, and its open for business! lights blazing , juke box blaring, smokers standing outside in the rain.
So its not all bad news. (unless you live next door)

Gosh that brings back memories of City Boats loading at West Float and BISCO Iron Ore Carriers discharging nearby......some classey 'babes' frequented The Dock too. Very exciting !
