Thanks for sharing this photo, must have been 78/79, as later on she had passenger ramps fitted just forward of the container deck and above on the veranda deck, had some good times on her, just forward of the mooring deck on the container deck you can just make out the blue containers, they were a pain to load in such a small space, they used to be full of Duty free goods and stores, and were swung aboard by crane every few days at Dover.
Ian the St Sunnvia was her sister and running mate, the nf Panther. Good to know the old girl is earning a living.

lorsqu'il est arrivé en 1978 à Boulogne, il portait la livrée "Normandy Ferries"
En arrière plan le ferry "Chartres" a quitté les lignes Calais/Boulogne-Dover/Folkestone en mai 1982 pour remplacer le ferry " Villandry" entre Dieppe et Newhaven
les rampes pietons pour embarquer ou debarquer les pietons , on était modifier sur les navires nf Tiger, Panther et Lion a partir de 1981/1982 où le poste 13 fut équiper d'une passerelle pieton puis le poste 15
Thanks for that, you are correct, should have remembered we had Normandy Ferries painted on the Stern Door back and ships sides back then prior to the Panther arriving , then all change to P&O Ferries at the start of the eighties. And yes 1981/82 for the installation of the foot passenger ramps, just couldn't remember the actual date for that, (old age catching up).
Panther sold Dubai 2002. Scrapped India 2005.
Tiger converted to cruise ship (120 passengers) cabins installed on former car deck.
