I think the nub here is the gas riser unit, and alluding to when it was fitted rather than out of d/dock. Could not see any owner accepting this level of workmanship from a yard, if indeed she was painted atall in dock, but this has to be quite some time later.
Sorry if I misled anyone - She drydocked in Holman's Yard at Penzance in May 1981 where the gas risers and Whessoe gauges were fitted. This photo was taken about a year later in 1982 when she was on the West coast of Scotland run for BP charter, running out of mainly Grangemough but occasionally venturing a wee bit further south if time allowed.!
I spent some time in the Tillerman in the 1960s and the early 70s, many happy memories of the ship and of the men that I sailed with. We spent most of our time on the uk east coast - Continent with the odd trips to Skandinavia. clean oils and chemicals.
n.b. this the 1963 built Tillerman as Keith stated. Bruce.
