Nevasa not with the usual black & white funnel. Was in oxide red being repainted/repaired? who knows. (Does it really matter?)

Is still in troopship colours with yellow funnel.Possibly taken at the end of her trooping career before she was converted to a schools' cruise ship like UGANDA.

There is a colour picture showing the Nevasa with the oxide red funnel at the same berth on www.shipspotters.com but I was under the impression that this was taken a few years after her conversion to a schools ship.

Uganda is at berth 47 and Nevasa is at berth 46 Ocean Dock Southampton I think it was taken in 1970 so long after her conversion from a troopship!

I can remember the oil rig that was at berth 50 which you can see in the background and I am sure this was 1970.
