H.M.S VITALITY ex H.M.S UNTAMED

While visiting my farther and son's graves, i noticed nearby one of a sailor from WW2. He was A. LONG, Able Seaman , R.N. P/JX. 418788 of H.M.S VITALITY. 27th June 1945 aged 21. Does anyone know the history of H.M.S VITALITY between 1944 and 1945. I do know the vessel was scrapped not long after the war. But can't find anything else, or how this sailor died, accident or killed in action.

Thanks for your reply. I guess his death must have been an accident, as i can't find anything else about this submarine after being renamed, other than being scrapped at Troon 1946.
