Andwi

Norwegian tanker "Andwi" built by J. Crown in 1954 for Rolf Wigand of Bergen. She was 18,625 dwt and had a speed of 15 knots. In 1967 she was sold and renamed "Theo" and in 1971 became "Port Navalo" of Van Ommeren (France). On 12 January 1978 she was driven aground by heavy weather in the River Gironde. She continued her voyage to La Pallice the following day but following discharge was found to be heavily damaged. Declared a CTL she was sold to Spanish breakers.

Main Engine : Sulzer 9RD72 (720x1.250) - 6.900 bhp.

1961 Sold/Transferred to K/S Harwi ( Same manager ) Bergen Norway.
1967 Sold to Theodossisios Compania Navigation SA (Southern Shipping & Finance Co Ltd London United Kingdom as manager ) Monrovia Liberia,renamed " THEO ".
1971 Sold to Phs.van Ommeren (france) SA Dunkerque France,renamed " PORT NAVALO ".

1978 Stranded 12/01 in the river geronde France in bad weather whilst on a voyage from Le Havre France with gasoil.Refloated Next day,total loss.

1978 BU Bilbao Spain.
