The Aquitania returns to Southampton in late September, 1945 following her latest repatriation crossing with American servicemen. While in Southampton, her crew would repaint her four stacks back to their peacetime colors, before beginning what will prove to be her final major trooping voyage to New York in October, 1945. She will only be seen one more time in the American port (in December, 1946) following the completion of her next crossing.
