During 1966 she went to Harland & Wolff for lengthening, but the forepart capsized on launching , but was eventually fitted raising her GRT from 8485 to 9609.

Hi, i have just joined and could not help but find a picture of my first ship the MV Australind. I joined her in Tilbury docks, November 1972 and signed on for 2 years. By the time i got back to the UK it was December 1973, it was great.
