Chilean Navy Frigates ex UK

Chilean Navy Frigates ex UK

Three type 23s and one type 22.
Also some other unidentified vessels.

They have no visible pennant numbers and the name plate on the front of the bridge is the same on all of them (not the name).

I am guessing that the one with the later style of gun is the Almirante Condell, formerly the Marlborough, and that the type 22 is the Almirante Williams, formerly the Sheffield.

I will never fully understand the logic of selling the type 23's. Especially Grafton, which was only 10 years old.

The MoD does not employ logic.

Very capable collection of ships with the ex-Dutch Karl Dormann Class to make the set.

John.
The reason of absence of pennant numbers in these ships is the Hague affaire with Perú.

Shaun, that's a former L-frigate, not a Doorman-class.

On the basis that I managed to ID 2 x class and 1 x class L frigates in the other picture it follows that the one tucked in must be the remaining class L (I think).
We still don't know for sure which one is which though, if that matters.

are they planning to go on war with Peru? That's why they removed the pennants?
