CGT vessel Equateur aground near Cap Gris Nez November 25, 1953.

Looks like she has run aground, possible rescue by breeches buoy, a hairy ride looking at the angle. Is it a Cornish wreck ? if not where ?

According to the details, Cap Gris Nez in France, which is between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais.

Must have come off OK as she remained in CGT service until 1966, was sold on to three other owners, before being broken up in 1949.

Slightly embarrassing I would think, as she seems to be almost at right angles to the cliff! Gris Nez has a 20 mile light if I am not mistaken and a substantial radar echo from the shore.
