HMS Berwick outboard of Cardiff at Portsmouth.
Berwick was fresh out of the reserve fleet at Chatham and Cardiff had not been long back from the Falklands.
Know what you mean Scouse but radar would suggest Cardiff. I also have some other shots of her on her arrival back from dockside when they were erecting the scaffolding below her bridge, she definitely had the broad vertical black stripe (Difficult to see from this angle mate) and she had her 'scores' painted on her Sea Dart launcher.
It was a team game mate, the end result was a credit to all and displayed the professionalism of our armed services. This is always tempered with the loss of life on both sides, in a conflict started by a just a handful of unelected dictators.
