Looks more like a sleep out than sunbathing in the shade. Recognise anyone?
It wasn't unusal to cop the odd wave on this deck.

Just found this site Tues. 11th Nov. 2008
Was expecting the usual few pics of Wave Prince, but was delighted to see Fred Cains' pictures as I had recognised him from some of my dad's old pics.
I was even more surprised to see this one with my dad in the foreground.
James "Alec" Ritchie from Fraserburgh Aberdeenshire, I went up to see him last night to show him the website and pictures I had "Found"

Hi Ken
It's really wonderful to make another contact from a short period in time more than 45 years ago and more so that sons are doing it for Dads.
I do hope I will be able to find info on Freds son, there is some info in the crashed computer.
He was living in Comber Northern Ireland
Cheers
Ted

Hello Ted,
it's been a few years since I left a message regarding the photos of the late Fred Cains, in particular this one which has my dad James "Alex" in the foreground.
I was having another look through Ship's nostalgia and in particular post regarding Wave Prince 1962-1963.
Sadly my dad passed away on the 3rd of May this year, I know that he would have loved to pass on memories of Fred to his son. I did send Fred junior a PM from the site, but no reply yet. I did read in another post that AB Gustard was a friend of his family. David Ray Gustard from Seaham was a regular visitor to us too. Regards Ken Ritchie
