Beyond, across the River Itchen, the Outer Dock and Harbour railway station with three British Railways cross channel turbine steamers alongside . Left: "Hantonia" (1911; 1,567 grt) Southampton-Le Havre service. Centre: "Falaise" (1947; 3,710 grt) Southampton-St Malo service. Right: one of the three "Isle" class steamers (Isle of Jersey/Guernsey/ Sark) (1930/32; c 2,200 grt) which maintained the Channel Islands service (Southampton -Guernsey-Jersey).

Eddy has beaten me to it with the Channel Islands steamer details! Hantonia I wouldn't have got, but the Isle class steamer and especially Falaise, I'd recognise anywhere!
