Thanks for posting! I'm delighted someone posted an image of one of these beautiful ships. The KOAN and KONGO MARUs (sisters) were so beautifully proportioned (they looked sensational with black hulls and the traditional OSK emblem in mustard and rust red. The bridge fronts were particularly great looking. When I was in my 20s I spent a year reworking their strange and functional ferry-like accommodation with an architect, renamed the ships PISSARO and DELACROIX and started an imaginary shipping line between the South of France and the West Indles a la COLOMBIE (CGT). I consulted with many pro's and learned the bulk of what I know about the mechanics of ships and ship service! Sadly, I have no idea where that file has gone to.
