This shows the R/T side with a Marconi Crusader transmitter and the more modern receiver hidden behind the typewriter an ITT/Mackay 3020. The 12-4 R/O would sit in front of this receiver each night and transcribe Radio Australia news onto a news sheet which went down to the ships printers for distribution amongst the passengers.
