That was definitely the most unsuitable and impractical colour scheme for her.Luckily,Cunard had a change of heart and gave her the dark hull again.Then she looked like a real Cunarder.Was lucky enough to sail to New York on her on her first trip in "true" Cunard colours.

She did look good back in black esp. with her traditional Cunard funnel livery.
This was the post Falklands livery, grey actually. Known as "Mathews Folly" as it was ordered on the whim of Lord Mathews, then Cunard chairman. Every time a tug nosed onto the hull some of the grey paint came off, giving QE2's hull a measles affect. It was soon changed.
