I had never noticed that she carried a bow anchor!

The QUEEN ELIZABETH and the QUEEN MARY both had bow anchors as well as the QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 which was built many years later. There were several other liner's that had a bow anchor including the FRANCE and the UNITED STATES amongst others.

I don't recall QM having a bow anchor, she only had the two hawses for'd.

Your absolutely one hundred percent correct, the QUEEN MARY did not have a bow anchor unlike her younger running mate the QUEEN ELIZABETH.

A total mistake on my behalf and I should have known better!

As a child I loved them all and spent countless hours trying to draw them. Sure beat Coronation Street!!!
