The ex Aberdeen tug Sea Griffon languishing in Dundee docks now long out of use.

Sea Griffon - Tug - ID Number: 5316064 - Built Aberdeen, UK 1962 - United Kingdom Flag.
Gross Tonnage: 117 - LOA: 27 Metres - Beam: 7 Metres.

Owners/Managers: Coastal Marine, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Laid up and I suspect surveys well overdue.

Regards
Keith

It's very sad to see her in this condition. In her hey-day with her sister the Sea Trojan all **** and span towing the Britannia to her berth every year at the start of the Royals Balmoral holiday was a sight to see.

She's veen there for a fair number of years now, not sure for what purpose she arrived, at least she fairs better than the fishing vessel.
In Dundee there is another tug long out of use, one of Dundees old tugs, in the main basin

Any idea why they keep the Abertay now long out of use. It can't be difficult to get rod of a small tug. How long is it since Abertay was lasted used? I'd guess at over 10 years
