Silver Fjord ul 50

Prawn creel boat Silver Fjord leaving Lochinver with John McAllister and his father aboard. She was built for me by Sandisons of Baltasound, Shetland 1971 I was one of the first to go fishing for prawns with creels only two other boats were doing that before me i had the McKay and McLeod hauler adapted to sit on the side deck the first of its type made by McKay and McLeod.

bonnie boat Jack, is she still on the go?? would you look at that, the big house on the hill used to be long to the headmaster of Lochinver school Andrew McColl, gave me the strap once six each hand LOL.

At is a blast fae the past Jack,did you know that she was in Scrabster for a while,the chap stripped her back to the bare hull inside and out and put a new wheelhouse on her,mind him sayin the planks and timbers were like the day she was built,she went around to Mallaig after she left Scrabster.

Hi Jim you have a good memory thats Andrew McCall's house right enough the boatie is still on the go the last i heard of her was she was in the Mallaig area but that was a couple of years ago
