Emmanuel, this is a very nice picture and brings back some memories.
Also oe of the largest ships ever to drydock in Duke and Orr dock in Melbourne early to mid 80,s, I attended to this docking as well as her sistership at the time. They were also carrying paper from Tasmania.

In this photo she is at Hobart's Princes 2-3 wharf and most likely discharging paper pulp, through a port side door, for the ANM mill at Boyer.

Hi Fred glad to see you like the posting. TASMAN VENTURE and her sister TASMAN ENTERPRISE were considered cream jobs - sadly now all gone.
Regards
Emmanuel

They also carried cargo on the NZ coast as well, newsprint etc, to Lyttelton and Dunedin.
During a prolonged mill strike in NZ, they each did a trip up to North America bringing back paper products from British Columbia ports.

They quite often called into Hobart as their last port of call on the voyages and unloaded pulp and back loaded pallets of Bricks, Bottles and Containers, they some times also unloaded Oregon Pine from Canada in Hobart also. I think it wast the Venture I remember watching one day loaded 4 cars into the hold via the side doors, that took some precison postioning to get them in the right spot. Tasman Enterprise was laid up in Devonport in North Western Tasmania for a long time
