Things that go bang in the morning...

Whilst aboard 'Anvil Point' which was rolling heavily in the Bay of Biscay, we heard an almighty bang just before breakfast one morning.
This was the spectacle presented to us once we'd ventured outside for a look - some 20 tonnes of chain destined for use with the Falklands drilling rig had made its bid for freedom.
It hadn't been secured within its transport container, the wires you can see in the photograph being lifting slings. So since the chain was free to move within the box, it was only a matter of time before it 'exited stage left'.
Made a real mess of our newly painted (with special formula paint) upper deck ramp too.
