Hi Tanker

Yes indeed, they were good ships.WESTMORLAND was Clyde built by Lithgow and went on her maiden voyage on her own during a severe gale in 1965!All sadly gone now.

Hi,

Did the TONGARIRO become the BEACON HILL later in life, or was that one of her sisters? Also, when was she scrapped?

My first ship deep sea as a lowly grumbly, she had a RD 90 Sulzer engine from memory, with rotary exhaust valves, English Electric Alternators. UK - KIWI - UK in 3 months, quick trip. A great ship and when i saided on here she was still in NZSC colours and funnel.
