Excellent photo of the UNITED STATES laid up at Newport News Virginia, this is how I saw her in 1985. It was foggy when we arrived at Newport News and I can remember feeling very disappointed that I couldn't see the UNITED STATES but by mid morning the fog had lifted and there she was.
