The gantry off her was used as swings at the back of edwin groats house, spent a few hours on the swings and on the wings of the morning as that is the first boat i worked and spewed on!!
Coogrind.....Not sure who owned her in shetland, don't think she was there very long. Edwin Groat owned her in westray (Orkney) for a lot of years, prob around 30 years plus. Sadly she went aground on the point of vestness on the south end of papa westray a while back, after a few attempts to pull her off the rocks they were unsuccesfull. Not sure of the year she was built, prob about 40 years ago.
The name Wings Of The Morning came from the bible, Think it's Psalm 9 verse 9. "If it take the wings of the morning and dwell on the uttermost parts of the sea".
