The boat deck of the Lusitania is shown in this view, and it was taken from the ships after-docking-bridge in 1911. Since it predates the Titanic disaster, the expanse of open railing on the boat deck still remains. This view also shows some of the unique clamshell type lids on some of her ventilation shafts. These covers gave the ship her low, racy profile, and they made her funnels look taller as a result.
