Wow, we're having a real nostalgia feast for an old Prince Line man. She departed the fleet in the mid sixties, whether sold for further trading or scrap I don't recall. Again another of the three hatch variety, and yes they were all built at Burntisland and engined with Doxfords, right down to the last one of the class, the Lancastrian Prince, built about 63/64 I think. Interestingly, even she still had wooden hatches covers, must say something about UK owners' attitudes towards modernising.
