bet they never flung her round at the end of the mile like in 1982 when i did similar test on HMS Manchester

That's a good question cockerhoop, I've been looking at a number of books about the ship but I can't find anything about turn tests being conducted during her sea trials. Given how badly she rolled before stabilizers were installed, I imagine tests like crash turns were never conducted.

I believe it was her first commander, Commodore Britten that said she could roll the milk out of a cup of tea!
